African musicians continue to dominate the global music scene, album after album. This year, Rolling Stone’s annual list of the top 100 albums is yet another testament to their incredible talent and influence.

Album Powerhouse: Afrobeats Takes the World Stage

Rema, Tems, and Asake have stormed Rolling Stone’s prestigious list. These artists have not only achieved global success but have also revolutionized the music industry.

Rema’s second studio album, “Heis,” secured the 11th spot. A unique blend of sounds, “Heis” offers a thrilling and immersive listening experience. Rolling Stone aptly described it as a “rave-like” album, setting a new standard for Afrobeats. Following the success of his debut “Rave & Roses,” which achieved RIAA gold certification in the United States, Rema has solidified his position as a global music sensation.

    The Essence of Tems

Tems’ debut album, “Born in the Wild,” claimed the 37th spot. A soulful and emotional journey, this showcases Tems’ raw talent and captivating voice. Rolling Stone noted that it reflects the hard work and dedication behind her success. Tems has made history by becoming the first Nigerian female artist to win a Grammy Award and receive an Oscar nomination.

A young star on the rise

Ayra Starr’s second album, “The Year I Turned 21,” secured the 53rd position. Rolling Stone praised Ayra Starr’s musical maturity and passion, noting that her music belies her young age.

    The Reserved Musical Man

Asake’s debut album, “Mr Money with the Vibe,” also made the list in 2022. This showcases Asake’s ability to create infectious music that resonates with audiences worldwide.

These albums are must-listens, and we’re thrilled to see them recognized on Rolling Stone’s prestigious list.
