TYLER PERRY SAYS HE HAS NO PLANS FOR SUPERHERO MOVIES

Tyler Perry, the renowned filmmaker and actor, has made a name for himself by crafting compelling stories that resonate with audiences worldwide. Perry, known for his dramatic films and sitcoms, has no plans to join the superhero movie craze.

“You’ve got to have a passion for it. I’m not a big superhero person,” Perry explained. “They’ve never been something that I enjoy.” However, he does enjoy watching superhero movies with his son.

Perry’s latest project, “The Six Triple Eight,” is a historical drama that tells the true story of the only all-Black female U.S. Army unit to serve overseas during World War II. This ambitious film showcases Perry’s commitment to sharing important, untold stories.

He also recently directed the interesting legal thriller” Mea Culpa” which starred Kelly Rowland and had people buzzing about it.

While Perry’s passion project, “A Jazzman’s Blues,” marked a significant milestone in his career, he admits that he’s unsure about his future in filmmaking. “Once I made it, I felt like I’ve done it, I’m good,” he said. However, the compelling story of the Six Triple Eight reignited his passion for storytelling.

Perry’s decision to bring this lesser-known historical event to the screen highlights his dedication to sharing stories that deserve to be told. By shedding light on the contributions of these remarkable women, he’s not only entertaining audiences but also educating them.
